Logic Gates – Formal Introduction
Computer logic employs logic gates, which are electrical circuits with inputs and outputs. Inputs are labelled ‘true’, ‘1’, or ‘on’ for high voltage and ‘false’, ‘0’, or ‘off’ for low or no voltage. Common logic gates include AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, and XOR. Each has different rules for inputs and output creation.
